FAQ's

What is a survey request and how long does it take?

We visit you in your home, show you a range of samples, offer advice if needed and measure your windows.  We leave you with a written quotation and this usually takes around half an hour. 

Please note will do not believe in hard sales like many other companies, therefore we do not hassle you after the quote.  If you are interested of have further questions we leave you to call us.

I want to use the “Quick Quote” how do I measure my windows?

You will need to insert a width and height measurement to obtain your quick quote.  Your shutters will be fitted within the reveal of your window from left to right and for height normally the bottom of the window board to the top of your reveal is sufficient.  We are always available for advice and can guide you through the measuring process.  Should you be happy with the online quote we still need to come and measure ourselves.

What are the different louvre sizes?

Louvre size is a personal choice, look at the size of your window and the effect you want to achieve. Often, larger louvre sizes work well on larger windows as they let in more light, however smaller louvre sizes offer greater privacy.  Our shutters come in 47mm, 63mm, 89mm and 114mm.  At your survey, we show you samples of the sizes, pictures of previous work and advise you on the best louvre size to enhance the look of your room.

What colours and stains are available?

There are a large number of colours and stains available varying across each of our shutter ranges. In several of the ranges we can offer custom colour, meaning we can colour match any paint in any colour of your choice.  We often colour match Farrow and Ball, Fired Earth and Dulux etc.

I want to go ahead - what happens now?

If we have already provided a quote we do not usually need to visit again.  We clarify style, colour and price then take a 50% deposit.  This can be paid by any credit or debit card over the phone or you can send us a cheque.  We take the final 50% on the installation day.
